It is designed to be fitted with an arbor that has a 5/8" tapered end at one end to fit into the precision hole on this chuck. These arbors are still available for sale by Jacobs. The key for the chuck is included, and is in very good condition.
This is a unique, No. 6 size metallic fore plane, with the rare Hibbard, Spencer, & Barlett Co. mark on the cutter. The cutter is actually marked "H.S.B. REVONOC", and this is the only marked on this plane. The H.S.B. Co. has 100 year history of distributing all sorts of quality tools, made by other companies in many case, from it's Chicago distribution location. This is a very nice, clean example of a fore plane they supplied in about the 1930's era. There is only some minor differences between this plane and the Stanley No. 6 from the type before the introduction to the frog adjustment screw (there is no frog adjustment screw in the design of this H.S.B. plane). Otherwise a few other minor differences are the shape of the front knob, the shape of the lateral adjustment lever, and the depth adjustment wheel seems to be steel, not brass. The cutter is very sharp, plenty of stock left for future sharpening. This plane is 18" long with a 2.37" wide cutter. There is no frog adjustment screw for this model, as from the factory. The condition is very good with about 90% Japanning intact, good solid hardwood handle, and knob, no cracks, some tiny dings noted, nice looking hardwood with a natural finish. There is a few minor dings on the plane, a few very small areas of pitting on the bed on a little on the cap cover, and chip breaker, but over all, very good condition. A very rare plane! On quality, very comparible to Stanley quality, very nice cast parts, quality cutter material, all adjustment work great! Quality made!
This is a very scarce 18" pipe wrench marked "18" MASTERENCH CHROME VANADIUM" on one side, and "PATENTED 4-14-23 & 7-5-27 NEWARK N.J. U.S.A.", and has the standing horse logo also. MASTERENCH". The trade name sounds like Masterwrench, but the W is dropped in the actual name. The Heller name has been partially ground off but enough there to confirm the maker is Heller. We have seen only one other in this size in the past ten years in anywhere near this good of condition, as the 18" size is rare. This one has been used very little, has a very good pivot joint, and the double spring is still in good working order, so the jaw returns to the closed position as it is suppose to. The jaw teeth are very nice, only minimal wear. The jaw is .99" wide. There is no rust on this wrench, no cracks, no bent areas, very nice. The finish is a darkened finish, has some minor original casting imperfections, but those are on the handle section, and will not effect use. A good straight, hard to find, collectible adjustable wrench!

Overall the paint is about 60% intact overall, none on the crank wheel, frame has most all paint intact, no rust or pitting. The gears and all the spindles are in great shape. The end handle is hollow brass, and is threaded so it fits the end of the drill body in good condition. This brass cap provides a place to store your drills if you wish, there is a nice set of small spiral drills included, all are in very good to new condition. (you can use standard straight round shank drills with this tool). The chuck on this style drill is 3 jaw type, spring loaded jaws, and all the springs are in good working order. A good solid tool, nice design, works very smoothly, ready to use or display! This model, or one about 95% like it, was originally patented in 1895, however, this drill has no patent dates on it, but is marked "GOODELL-PRATT COMPANY" on the chuck shaft also.

In good++ condition with very little wear, no rust, good straight metal and gears. The jaws edge show a few dings on the edges, but much better than most, and the jaws align well with one another. We note a few small hammer dings on the end of the handle, otherwise a very carfully used wrench by the looks of it. The knurled thumbwheel design works great as it incorporates a stamped steel washer, that helps the thumb wheel turn much easier than those without this feature. The washer is formed to fit into the knurl so it doesn't spin round and round. A very nicely designed hard to find size, nice clean wrench, from the early 1920's era.
